About Good Food Hygiene
Food safety training,
built by kitchen people.
We make the training your team will actually finish, the app that replaces the paper diary, and the guide that demystifies your hygiene rating — all from Manchester, all for UK food businesses.
Why we exist
Training that gets clicked through is training that gets forgotten.
We started with one frustration: food hygiene courses that people race through, pass by luck, and never actually use on shift. The certificate goes in a drawer, and nothing in the kitchen changes.
So we built something different — short, practical lessons written for real kitchens, assessments that check you actually understood, and certificates anyone can verify in seconds. Then we went further: an app that turns the daily grind of compliance into a few taps, and a free guidebook that decodes the 0–5 rating system every business lives by.
“Our mission is to make food safety the easiest part of running a food business.”

What we stand for
Three promises, every course
Practical first
Everything maps to something you actually do on shift — no filler, no jargon, no hour-long videos. If it doesn’t change how you work, it’s not in the course.
UK-specific, always
Written around UK food law, FSA guidance and Safer Food, Better Business — because a generic global course won’t help you when the EHO knocks.
Proof, not promises
Instant certificates with a unique reference any employer or inspector can verify in seconds — and a live dashboard so team leaders can see it all.
