Why you need it
A dishwasher only cleans and disinfects properly if it is loaded, set and maintained correctly. Blocked spray arms, empty detergent or the wrong programme can leave equipment looking clean while bacteria survive.
If you rely on a dishwasher to disinfect equipment, you should be able to show it is working, with checks recorded at an agreed frequency.
What it’s for
Four steps for a commercial dishwasher: checking filters, spray arms and detergent before service, loading without blocking the wash, following the specified programme, and inspecting items after each cycle. It belongs above the dishwasher or in the wash-up area.
How to use it
- Fix it above the dishwasher in a wipe-clean sleeve.
- Check filters, spray arms and detergent before service and let the machine reach its operating conditions.
- Scrape off food debris and space items in suitable racks so the water reaches every surface.
- Check items after every cycle, rewash anything dirty and let them air dry in a clean area.
- If you cannot confirm the machine is disinfecting, stop using it for that job and arrange a repair.
