For schools and academy trusts
Every school kitchen's paperwork,
in one place at last.
Term-time staff, agency cover and a kitchen in every school. The app puts the daily records on a tablet in each kitchen, the training under each person's own name, and — when it opens — a head-office screen showing the whole trust at once.
Try it on a kitchen for 30 days, with no card and nothing to cancel. Your records are yours: we never delete a business’s records.
What it is actually like
The parts that take the time
Cover and agency staff
Someone new starts on Monday and has to be safe by lunch. Assign a course the moment they are booked; they finish it on their phone and their certificate is in their own name, not the agency's.
Kitchens you rarely stand in
A trust catering manager cannot be in eight kitchens at breakfast. Each one keeps its own records in the same shape, so a school that is drifting shows up as a gap, not a surprise at inspection.
Allergens for children
Menus and allergen information sit with the records, so what was served and what was in it can be answered later, not reconstructed.
Long holidays, cold starts
Closure periods are part of the app, so a kitchen that is shut does not look like a kitchen that stopped writing things down.
Inspection day
Open a read-only portal for the environmental health officer, or print the records for the dates they ask for. The pack shows exactly which days it covers and says so.
Governors and finance
One invoice for the trust, priced per kitchen, with a purchase order. A named contact rather than a support queue.
Certificates carry each person's own name and a number anyone can check, which is what an inspector asks to see — not a trust-wide training spreadsheet.
What you are buying
Three parts, one supplier
The kitchen app
Daily records, cleaning rota, staff rota, allergens, menus and the written safe method, on any tablet or phone. Works while the wi-fi is down. 14 languages, nothing to install.
The training
Food safety for handlers and supervisors, HACCP, allergens and more, written to FSA guidance. A certificate in each person's own name that anyone can check online. 15 languages.
The head-office dashboard
Every kitchen on one screen, with plain-English alerts, daily and weekly summaries, a print-ready pack for an inspection, and every certificate in one list. Being finished now.
Getting started
Two sign-ups, joined by one code
Your training account, here
Set up a business account on this website and buy the seats your staff need. Each person gets their own login and their own named certificate.
Your app account, in the app
The kitchen app is a separate sign-up at app.goodfoodhygiene.co.uk, with its own login for your kitchens. It opens in a browser — there is nothing to install.
Join the two with a code
In My Account → Team you generate a connection code and paste it into the app once. That is what lets your training records and your kitchens work together.
Yes, that is two accounts rather than one. The training and the kitchen app are separate systems on purpose, so a tablet on a kitchen counter can never reach your training records, and a learner’s login can never reach your kitchens. The code is the only thing that joins them, and you can disconnect it at any time.

The answers your finance team will ask for
| What they ask | The answer |
|---|---|
| Who are we contracting with? | Elearnment Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17458288, registered office 20 First Floor, Swan Street, Manchester M4 5JW. |
| Data protection | Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, number ZC248359, with written processing terms for the app. Read the processing terms |
| Insurance | Public liability insurance is in place; the certificate comes with your quote. |
| Accreditation | Good Food Hygiene is a CPD Approved Provider, number 791025, with The CPD Group. Check us on the CPD register |
| Proof of training | A certificate in each person's own name, with a number anyone can check. Certificates do not expire; each carries a recommended refresher date. Check a certificate |
| If we stop paying | Your records are yours. We do not delete a business’s compliance records on a timer — they stay in the account and you can read and export them. |
| Policies | Complaints, appeals, malpractice, reasonable adjustments and safeguarding are published in full. Read the policies |
See it on one of your own kitchens
We will walk through a real site: what your team would tap in each shift, what you would see, and what an inspector would be shown. Then you decide.
- A kitchen free for 30 days, no card, nothing to cancel
- Priced per kitchen, invoiced how you need it
- A named contact, not a ticket queue
Questions from schools and trusts
Can each school keep its own records but the trust see everything?
That is exactly the shape. Each kitchen fills in its own records; the head-office dashboard, which is being finished now, shows every school on one screen. Ask to be told when it opens.
How are we invoiced?
One invoice for the trust, priced per kitchen, against your purchase order. Schools and trusts are quoted rather than bought online, because the answer depends on how many kitchens you run.
Our kitchen teams speak several languages. Is that a problem?
No. The app is in 14 languages and the courses in 15, so each person works in the language they are most comfortable with. The records and certificates are equally valid whichever was used.
What happens over the summer?
Closures are part of the app, so a shut kitchen is recorded as shut. Nothing counts as a missed day, and nothing is deleted.
Where to next?
