For care homes and care groups
The kitchen evidence,
ready before anyone asks.
Residents who cannot afford a mistake, inspectors who ask for evidence, and a kitchen team working weekends. The app keeps the daily records as they happen, the training sits under each person's name, and the head-office view — coming soon — shows every home at once.
Try it on a kitchen for 30 days, with no card and nothing to cancel. Your records are yours: we never delete a business’s records.
What it is actually like
The parts that take the time
Evidence on demand
Inspections and quality visits ask what you did, not what you intended. The records are written as the shift happens, timed and signed, so the answer already exists.
Residents at higher risk
Fridge and freezer readings that fall out of range ask for the corrective action there and then, while someone is still in front of the appliance.
Modified diets and allergens
What each resident can and cannot have is kept with the menu and the records, rather than on a laminated sheet that goes out of date.
Weekend and night cover
Whoever is on shift signs their own checks, on the tablet in the kitchen. No one has to remember on Monday who did what.
A group of homes
Each home keeps its own records in the same shape, so a home that is quietly slipping is visible early rather than at the next visit.
Training that lapses quietly
Every certificate for the kitchen sits in one list with its recommended refresher date beside it, so refreshers are booked before they are overdue.
Nothing in the records claims a day it did not look at: the printed pack names the exact dates it covers, which is the difference between evidence and a tidy-looking document.
What you are buying
Three parts, one supplier
The kitchen app
Daily records, cleaning rota, staff rota, allergens, menus and the written safe method, on any tablet or phone. Works while the wi-fi is down. 14 languages, nothing to install.
The training
Food safety for handlers and supervisors, HACCP, allergens and more, written to FSA guidance. A certificate in each person's own name that anyone can check online. 15 languages.
The head-office dashboard
Every kitchen on one screen, with plain-English alerts, daily and weekly summaries, a print-ready pack for an inspection, and every certificate in one list. Being finished now.
Getting started
Two sign-ups, joined by one code
Your training account, here
Set up a business account on this website and buy the seats your staff need. Each person gets their own login and their own named certificate.
Your app account, in the app
The kitchen app is a separate sign-up at app.goodfoodhygiene.co.uk, with its own login for your kitchens. It opens in a browser — there is nothing to install.
Join the two with a code
In My Account → Team you generate a connection code and paste it into the app once. That is what lets your training records and your kitchens work together.
Yes, that is two accounts rather than one. The training and the kitchen app are separate systems on purpose, so a tablet on a kitchen counter can never reach your training records, and a learner’s login can never reach your kitchens. The code is the only thing that joins them, and you can disconnect it at any time.

See it on one of your own kitchens
We will walk through a real site: what your team would tap in each shift, what you would see, and what an inspector would be shown. Then you decide.
- A kitchen free for 30 days, no card, nothing to cancel
- Priced per kitchen, invoiced how you need it
- A named contact, not a ticket queue
Questions from care homes
Can we show this to an inspector?
Yes. Each kitchen can open a read-only portal, or print the records for the dates asked for. Every training certificate has a number that can be checked on this site.
We run several homes. How does that work?
Each home has its own kitchen records, and a group is priced per kitchen from three kitchens up. The head-office screen that shows all of them is being finished now, and multi-site customers get it first.
Who owns the records?
You do. We do not delete a business's compliance records on a timer: they stay in the account, and you can read and export them.
Do you invoice?
Yes, against a purchase order if that is how you buy. Card is available for a single home.
