Solid, practical health and safety knowledge for anyone employed in a UK workplace, written to Level 2 standard. Across eight lessons you work through health and safety law and the duties it places on employers and employees; risk assessment and the hierarchy of control; the common workplace hazards, from slips and trips to working at height and vehicles; safe manual handling; working with hazardous substances under COSHH; fire safety, extinguishers and evacuation; PPE, display screen equipment and the safe use of work equipment; and responding to accidents, first aid, RIDDOR reporting and wellbeing. It is built around the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, its supporting regulations and HSE guidance. Assessments are randomised, the final exam draws 20 questions from a bank of 40, and a personalised CPD-standard certificate is issued the moment you pass.
