Description
Practical manual handling awareness for any UK workplace where people lift, carry, push or pull. Six lessons take you through what manual handling actually covers and how injuries happen; the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and the Avoid-Assess-Reduce hierarchy of control; the T.I.L.E. risk-assessment framework and the dynamic, on-the-spot check every worker should run before a lift; ergonomics, mechanical aids and the case for pushing over pulling; and the full mechanics of a safe lift, from planning and posture through to team lifting and awkward loads. Assessments are randomised, the final exam draws 20 questions from a bank of 40, and a personalised CPD-standard certificate is issued the moment you pass. Note: this is a knowledge-based awareness course. It supports but does not replace task-specific practical training or a workplace manual handling risk assessment where those are required.
